Dazzling Lips

Are you addicted to lipstick?
Makeup trends come in a myriad of styles and colors, yet every single one of them has the power to create and reflect a strong, also sweet and delicate woman.
Lipstick is the extra-feminine touch that can make anything possible.

I do have a thing for bright, get-noticed colors.
To do his job, a lipstick has to be lightweight, yet intense, creamy and moisturizing, and more than anything else, it has to stay on your lips all day long.
Once you'll find the perfect one for you, you'll know and you won't accept to trade it against any other one.
You will keep it forever!

For a retro makeup, keep in mind that red lips are a must.
Wonderful lipsticks leave your look effortlessly polished and understatedly sophisticated.

Finally if you are a lipstick lover, there's no way you can get past this amazing collector's edition palette that features 20 original lip colors launched by Bobbi Brown.
You can either wear the shades on their own or mix and blend them to create custom colors.

The color of the day is orange for sure, so dress up your lips in the pumpkin color.
Deep orange lipstick is perfect for everyday but for Halloween it's a must.
The fruity orange shade is all you need to make your night perfect.

Your lips feel as good as they look!
Be luminous!
And have fun tonight!

Happy Halloween

How about we spice it a little during the week-end?
What's better for fall than orange?
Orange and many shades of it have been popping up everywhere around and it's not only because Halloween is close; orange is such a fun, bright and warm color, and also totally fall appropriate.
And no, you won't look like a pumpkin, I swear!

There are many ways for you to safely rock that juiciest hue, without being too much or out of it.
A bright orange dress is very eye catching and super trendy.
To finish your fabulous fall look, the secret would be to add some feminine details like gold embellishments or a silk scarf. It will help polishing off your outfit.
Bring some warmth to your life, let the orange inspire you to create looks that you would never have thought about.

And let me tell you something else:
Orange will be a great hit of spring and summer 2012.
Dresses, shoes, bags, sunglasses, belts, let's welcome orange in our lives ladies!
If you already take advantage of the trend now, half of the work will be done by next spring and you won't even have to bother about it, because as a perfect fashionista, you will be so ready.

Even the Empire State Building will be dressed in orange this coming Monday!
Why shouldn't you?
Brighten it up! No fear allowed!

Spooky Halloween to you!

Huge Necklaces

Classic pieces will always be in vogue, but if you need to invest in jewelry, think big!
A little diversity won't hurt and it will surely make you feel more excited about your style.
Plus people won't be able to look in the other direction.
Isn't that why we work so hard on our looks?

You may wonder if these pieces aren't difficult to integrate into an outfit, but you will soon discover that the process is actually easier than it seems and you will have a lot of fun creating a whole new look.
This year your jewelry has to be huge, colorful, unusual and extravagant.
Not only do those necklaces finish any ensemble but they also are pieces of art, and wearing them makes you feel so special you won't be able to put them away.

Some pieces come structured, making beautiful compositions while others are angular and can be of an irregular form.
So forget the traditional items and dare mixing elements, shapes and sizes.
Combine a necklace with your favorite outfit in an original way and don't be afraid to create certain mood for different ensembles.

You will be hotter than ever!
Go crazy, don't think, and be beautiful!

Pleats Please

What is more romantic than pleats?
Pleats were already among us during last spring and summer, and the good news is that they are staying with us a little longer.
So don't pack up your pleats yet and get ready to invest in new pleated pieces.

The most popular pleats for the season are either the single pleats that all go in the same direction, or pleats that are cut smaller and get wider towards the bottom, creating a flared-out effect.
Lightweight fabrics are usually the best for pleated clothing, apart for the leather pleated skirt which is a powerful fashion statement.
Fabrics like crepe and silk tulle or anything that's to the sheer side are particularly on-trend.

Mix styles for contrasts, like the dreamiest of pleated skirt with a bohemian fur or a tough biker jacket.
Play it down in a rock-chic pair of boots instead of heels.
And if you want to be faithful to your heels, choose a soft, pleated gown flowing out from under a coat.
Simple yet effective style.

Stay tuned for more pleats!
A little bird told me that pleats are not only going to be limited to skirts and dresses!
Time will tell...

Women's suits

This is no longer news, women are powerful!
We have a few secret weapons and one of them is fashion.
But sometimes it feels good to dress like a man to show that we are not afraid of anything and we are more confident than ever.
Androgynous ensembles have become a classic womenswear and a wardrobe statement.

Sophisticated glamour is now part of the game.
This trend is making a flashing entrance with a whole lot of mischief, seduction and femininity.
If you are a working woman in NYC, you need to master this look and find out the key pieces of the perfect suit.
Take cues from the 1970s with wide, peaked lapels.
Step out of your comfort zone and don't just stick to the traditional black.
If you're looking for ultra-luxurious style, opt for an all-over velvet suit.

This season it is totally possible to mix and match separates.
Also a skinny belt is a very nice finishing touch over a blazer.
The women's suit is about that effortless androgyny that's stitched up in immaculately tailored yet lightly relaxed pieces for minimalist silhouettes.

Stay updated to be a winner!
You are about to get lots of attention!

Jungle Fever

One of the most popular trends at the moment is the animal print.
I wouldn't recommend to wear the look from head-to-toe, but I believe that a bold animal print shoe, a bag, a piece of jewelry, a scarf or a pair of gloves is a stylish way to incorporate the trend into your seasonal wardrobe.

The wild side of Fall clothing and accessories is out.
It shows up in fur (real or faux) attached to jackets, boots and clutches.
From the runway to our most famous stores, animal print adorn bags and shoes and leopard-spotted is everywhere.

Animal print let you show off the rocker inside you.
Still, most of this season's offerings are quite wearable.
Leopard is as classic as black-and-white, and it made yet another comeback in this Fall's runway collections.
It seems that this style will never be forgotten.
Designers are encouraging us to go all-out wild.
When you are ready for this style, remember to keep the rest of your look chic and sleek.

Choose a simple style, keep in mind that leopard print works great with black and leather.
This season you also have the possibility to add color to the leopard, like a vibrant red.
You will look stunning in beautiful long dresses or sheer blouses.
These pieces are made for strong and confident women.
For the shy ones, leopard printed accessories are a great choice for you to add an eccentric touch to your outfit.

Do you want to look wild and sexy?
For those daring enough to really take a walk on the wild side, I let you enjoy this exciting trend and figure out what is your favorite look!
Happy Monday!

Loose Blouse

Just because it's getting a little chilly doesn't mean we have to give up our style.
We still want to look luxurious and sexy.
We live in New York City for crying outloud!
Blouses from transparent and translucent fabrics hit the Autumn-Winter fashion collections.
Blouse shirts are great to go to the office, to meet friends for dinner or dance all night long.
They look fabulous with pleated skirts, nice pants and even greater with jeans.

It's the details that make those breezy toppers highly elegant.
Opt for a monochromatic blouse for work, a small pattern blouse for a casual lunch and a bright shade for a crazy night out.
Black is always a safe bet if you want to be elegant and full of charm.

This trend is totally picking up speed lately.
The sheer silk blouse could not be more versatile.
Layered underneath or dressed up, tucked in with a fitted wool trouser or pencil skirt.
Dress it down with jeans and ballet flats.
As always, the final choice is yours.

Drape yourself effortlessly in a gorgeous blouse and enjoy your weekend.
So what do you say?
Are you ready to rock the blouse?

Fall Jackets

So much is happening in the fashion world, it is sometimes difficult to follow.
Hopefully a few pieces will always be a safe bet.
Your jacket is the first thing people see wherever you show, so you need to look good.
Deconstructed jackets are timeless, and make you feel dressed up without any effort.
You can wear them over jeans or even a formal pleated dress.
Whatever works!

The best thing about Fall and Winter is the layering.
It's also really easy to go from day to night and change your look just by putting on a jacket.
New collections are an encounter between fashion and elegance, starting base for a sophisticated and destructured aesthetic.

Generally speaking, jackets are slimmer, shorter and lighter this season.
A dramatic cape with an asymmetrical flare will bring sophistication to your ensemble.
Fluid silhouettes will love the destructured lines.
They will give you a greater freedom of movement.

Modern women know the immeasurable value of having timeless pieces in their wardrobe.
Stay warm ladies!

Gold & Black Cuffs

Eye-catching cuffs definitely make an unmistakable style statement when around your wrist.
No doubt allowed.
You are a fashion victim!

Gold and black bring a rich and luxurious touch.
Gleam and boldness are to be expected with any ensemble.
I can't help but admire the versatility of designers when it comes to jewelry.
Strength and confidence are the first two words that come to my mind when I look at those fabulous pieces.

You can either look extremely classy and graceful, or simply casual elegant, depending on what you decide to wear.
The good news is you can wear those from 8:00am to midnight, from the office to a fancy restaurant, and even end the night in a club.
You will simply look amazing all day long!

Black and gold cuff is the perfect accessory to make you shine.
So unleash your glamorous and wild side, don't look back, and feel free to picture yourself with these inspiring cuffs for an unforgettable silhouette.

Don't be afraid to bling your style, ladies!
You will only get compliments, trust me on this one!

Popular Denim

History is repetitive and fashion is recycled.
The best thing about jean?
It is constantly being modified to fit the styles of the moment.

This season the boot cut denim style is the one to get.
But that doesn't mean that you have to say "goodbye" to your skinny.
Certainly not!

The booty jean and flared bottom are everywhere this Fall.
The funny thing when wearing them is to play with proportions.
You can easily add a bit of volume to your ensemble without overpowering the flares.
Pair your jean with a loose-fitting blouse and heels or wedges to lengthen the leg.

If you're confident enough to rock a pair of bright skinnies, then just go for it.
As I keep telling you this Fall is about colors.
Skinny colored jeans are easier to accessorize than you think.
Try a tribal top, or a crisp white button up, or even a navy stripes.
Have fun while creating new looks that fit your personality.

Denim is an effortless way to feel ultra cool, confident and comfortable.
That's the reason why they are always around and always evolving.
Good day!

Ankle Straps

Spice up your ankles!
Make some noise with your heels!

Put a sophisticated and sexy spin on your night-out ensemble and be stunning in a high heel giving a chic edge to your look.
A slim ankle strap with delicate detailing will enhance your sexy silhouette at all times.
Fabulous straps add allure and elegance to your outfit as well as sparkle and feminine charm.

From summery linen skirts to full-on glam evening gowns, these delicate high heels enhance it all.
For a look that will be hard to top, opt for a good size heel and a thin ankle strap.
No doubt that eyes will be attracted to your high fashion sense.

The skinny vamp and ankle strap will perfectly pair with sheer dresses for fancier occasions and the spike heel will also give you a glorious height.
Find the strappy stiletto that has the shine required for a glamorous night out.
It is all you need to get into the celebratory spirit.

What's not to love about this fun and flirty trend?
This gorgeous look is ready to take you out anytime!
What are you waiting for, ladies?

Martha Marcy May Marlene

Martha, a young woman, flees a cult and his charismatic leader Patrick and calls her older sister Lucy to  the rescue.
Martha has disappeared for months and without asking her any questions, Lucy and her husband welcome her in their home during their vacations.
It's time for Martha to find her place in this new family.
Not easy!

I was excited to see the movie. I had heard so many wonderful things about it, from the actors' performances to the disturbance that it brings, comparing the movie to a high tension thriller.
This is not a thriller! There is no tension really. There might be wonder for a while, but after one hour you know that nothing noticeable will happen.

We follow Martha in her past life, falling little by little under the spell of Patrick and following his every command, becoming a part of this big happy family, until a robbery turns bad and unable to handle the pressure, she chooses to disappear.
Haunted by those painful memories, we expect Martha to do something, anything.
Struggling between paranoia and reality, Martha is clearly mentally disturbed.
Weather she is actually being pursued by the cult or it's only in her mind, she's obviously living in a prolonged state of hightened stress.

The movie is interesting and the actors are perfect, but I got outside of the room really frustrated because I kept expecting something to happen and it never did.
The line between dream and reality is extremely thin and the director decided to never give us any answer.
I have a lot of questions for you Mr Durkin!

Anyway, watch the movie without expecting anything is the best way to go.
It was nice getting to know Elisabeth Olsen and watch the enigmatic John Hawkes evolve as the disturbing cult leader, Sarah Paulson is perfectly adorable, but my favorite character would be the husband Hugh Dancy who brings some balance and truth and even some laughs to this messy situation.

Written and directed by Sean Durkin. With Elisabeth Olsen, John Hawkes, Sarah Paulson and Hugh Dancy.

Gorgeous Lace

Did you think that the lace trend was forgotten ?
Certainly not!
Lace is always around, more or less but always.
And this Fall we can find fabulous lace pieces.

We can expect to see the undeniably chic, sexy and ultra-feminine lace trend all around during Fall and Winter.
Classic and always beautiful, the black lace is the one that you will see more often.
But this year, some designers decided to play with the colors.
Royal blue, Shiny yellow, deep purple, flamboyant red and also a wonderful nude lace. You name it!
Lace looks luxurious, sophisticated and versatile, so no reason not to go for it!

Don't hesitate to combine lace with other materials.
You can create incredibly romantic and chic looks.
Enjoy this trend and look fabulous even with just a little lace detail.
One rule: one item only to look great!

You can play up the sexy side of the lace, or dress it down for a casual look, and even make it work for work.
You can also go for vintage lace, the most fabulous of all, with large prints to look classy or tiny patterns for a sexy look.
Be feminine and stylish at all times!

I can't live without the sensual and classy lace.
And neither can you, even if you don't know it yet!
What do you think ladies?
